Art courses are a dime a dozen and primarily teach you how to paint like a particular artist, often overlooking the nuances of mechanical bad habits and the pitfalls that prevent most people from actually learning much. Teaching has been a long-time passion of mine, holding the same level of interest for me as my love for art and creating large narrative paintings. My interest in teaching was born from my experience as a student, where I saw gaps in what was available and struggled for years because I didn’t have access to the various subjects and fundamental pillars that every student of the arts needs.
Over the years, I have found that to master oil painting, we need to focus on the most critical fundamentals and rudimentary skills. It comes down to breaking a complex idea, image, or composition into its basic parts—value, shape, gesture, and line—and then developing the mechanical skills required to work with paint, mediums, and brushes. This approach helps us grasp a handful of techniques for different textural effects and, most importantly, hone our observational skills.

The course offers more than 10 hours of content, including over 70 videos to support you on your learning and practice journey.
In this course, we will use still life to learn the fundamental skills of indirect oil painting, composition design, and storytelling, employing a systematic approach that can be applied to your everyday studio practice and help you create your most ambitious works of art.
I have gathered all the material and knowledge into a clear and concise process that typically takes up to four years at an atelier to access. After working with hundreds of students, I know exactly what to focus on to accelerate your learning.

All the videos are in FULL HD, and you can tweak the speed, audio, and quality however you like.
I made sure to pack each video with full of visuals so you can follow along and stay inspired. You can practice step-by-step with me, drop comments under each video, and even chat with other students to share tips and tricks.
I kept the course super practical - teaching you everything from the basics of still life to how to evaluate and varnish your final work. You can watch (and rewatch) the lessons as many times as you want, whenever and wherever you feel like it.
